PJ’s 4 Xmas is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2009; by two Ogdensburg area girls, Camille & Abigail Marshall 13 & 10 years of age; the girls liked receiving brand new pajamas from their Mom & Dad on Christmas Eve. The girls realizing that today’s economy not every child would be as fortunate, they decided they wanted to make a difference. PJ’s 4 Xmas a Nonprofit Organization from kids for kids was born.


In October of 2009, a 1000 pair goal was set.By the end of December 2009; 754 pairs were collected along with $1118.00.  December 2010 the girls were back with the 1000 pair goal and successfully achieved 1205 PJ total along with $3300.00 .

December 2011, the girls raised their goal to 1500 PJ’s and successfully achieved 1,762 PJ total along with $6039.00. 

December 2012, 1,761 PJ’s were collected along with $7034.00. December 2013, 1,715 PJs were collected along with $9,087.05.  December 2014, 1,738 PJs were collected along with $8253.42 December 2015, 2,510 PJ’s were collected and $8620.16.

In the last seven Christmas seasons, Camille & Abby’s little organization clothed approximately 10,916 children in St Lawrence, & Jefferson Counties along with a grand total of $43,451.63.


The PJ’s 4 Xmas helps out 950+ families; this would include 1950 children, during the holiday season; including, Hurricane Sandy relief effort, in October 2012.


We are currently collecting donations to achieve our 2000 pair goal, and hoping to double the amount of our drop box locations for Christmas 2016.  


Camille and Abby’s organization has helped out several organizations, these include. Ogdensburg Neighborhood Ctr, the Renewal House, Head Starts of St. Lawrence County, Jefferson & St. Lawrence Foster Care Program, Canton Church and Community Program, Canton Neighborhood Ctr, Heuvelton Giving Tree, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, St. Lawrence County CDP adopts a family program, and many more. This also includes, times of crisis such as fire and homelessness.


Camille and Abby are recent recipients of the St. Lawrence County Community Development Volunteer Award in 2009. St. Lawrence County Hero of the year 2010 award sponsored by the Jules of Life Foundation.  In 2012 the girls received a NY State Legislative Resolution for their achievements, presented by Senator Patty Ritchie. In 2013 the girls received Citizen of the Year from the NYS Moose Association, and the Ogdensburg City School District presented the girls with the Civic Award, for contributing to the education and development of the children and youth of the city.  2014, the girls were awarded, Citizens of the Year by, NYS BPO Elks.


Camille is now 19 years of age and a sophomore at Clarkson University working toward her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. She recently graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy.  She was an active cheerleader, the Majorette for the OFA Marching band, a member of the National Honor Society, former Upward Bound participant, as well as an altar server for Notre Dame Church.  While, currently employed, at Maurice’s in Ogdensburg, and currently is the stat keeper for the Clarkson Golden Knight’s Hockey team.


Abigail is now 16 years of age and a junior at Ogdensburg Free Academy, an altar server for Notre Dame Church, participates in the high school band, and Marching band, Jazz Rock Band, plays violin in St. Lawrence University and Community Orchestra, member of the National Honor Society, and plays Varsity Soccer, & Lacrosse.


August 2, 2012; PJs 4 Xmas received approval from the IRS to be and Official Nonprofit Organization.
